Since I have installed Studio 2019, OCR does not work properly.
In the previous version (Studio 2018) OCR worked very well (with the IRIS add-on).
Now the results of the recognition are absolutely useless. Czech or German special characters are not recognized, the formatting is creepy.
I have tried it with Czech and German PDF files.
Given the lack of detail in your post please forgive me for the obvious question. But you have installed Iris into 2019 and set this up appropriately?

That was exactly the question I wanted to ask as well. I have installed the IRIS plugin and everything works fine with German files.
Yes, of course.
What I can try is to unistall IRIS and install it again.
Also make sure the project template you are using is making use of this.
