SDL don't as far as I'm aware set an arbitrary maximal package size and (free) transfer sites such as WT allow up to 2GB of data which would cover most packages being sent. 

How big are the packages?

Are you getting any error messages? If so - can you attach the error stack please?

Any additional information you can provide will be helpful.

I have included huge Acquis Communautaire Autosuggest dictionary and one termbase, ticking "Include these resources with the package: X termbases X Autosuggest dictionaries" during the package creation procedure in Plus. (I do not use the English version of Studio). Resulting package size is 12 MB, which is fine, really. I would suggest to put this query on hold then. Maybe it is the ticking of these two "resource integration" boxes that prevents packages from getting huge (and by huge I mean, like, 90 MBs, 120 MBs, 190 MBs or so).
