Hello! How to create a TM having only a sdlxliff file already translated (where all segments are in the condition "translation approved")? What I've already done is to open this file in SDL Trados Studio, create a new project TM for it and try to populate/update it by running Batch tasks (update/populate project Tm), but this TM always results empty, without any TU. What did I miss? thanks

To import TUs from an sdlxliff is an out of the box functionality.
Is that what you want to do?

Anyhow, what I would like to do is to create a TM from a bilingual (that is already translated) sdlxliff file. As far as I know to import a file into a new TM, this file should be a tmx file

This can be a TMX, and it can also be an sdlxliff.

Was this a "real" project TM in terms of what this means for Studio? Or just a TM that you created and add to your Project? If the latter then this is actually a Main TM.
Project TMs are only created when you first start your project by choosing the appropriate task sequence.
Another option for you is to convert the SDLXLIFF directly to TMX:
