It is always a good idea to post the full error stack when you have it as in this case - this provided much-needed info and helps us locate what the issue might be-

In this particular case however, as the error is referencing appdata/local folder- this might indicate that your AntiVirus is blocking access to the folder that is needed.

Please ensure you whitelist both Studio and MultiTerm into your AV providers exceptions list and then restart your machine.

Another issue can be the length of the path of where you have the project/files stored.

Try shortening the path to something like C:\Users\your name\Documents\Studio 2019\Projects\client xyz then recreate the project.

I think this does not help - I´ve never had issues with the path I am saving my packages to and I never had issues with my AntiVirus provider regarding the use of Studio or Multiterm.

As I wrote in my previous and first message, I think:

It is connected, as I suppose, to the fact that I had to save another project YESTERDAY with an "Append project name to project folder" option to be able to only open it at all (I repeat: this was necessary, because the file name was too long and it could not have been changed). Then - today - the Studio shows this option under the C disk, even though I am always saving my files under the D disk.

Can you please anyone help me?

Hello ,

I can appreciate that you may not have had issues with AntiVirus or the paths before  - but any number of things could have happened such as an AV update for example- so it is always worth double checking.

Windows enforces a maximal path length so can occasionally cause problems.

Please post the error stack as this will give a better insight to what is causing the problem.

no it is not caused by the Antivirus, we have tested it with the AV both active and passive.

Solution found however: 

if you encounter the same problem, open the project for which you had to opt for the "Append project name to project folder" option and then opening new packages would be without any problem,
