This sounds as though the installation is corrupted.

Please try resetting Studio- 

Rename this folder (just add _old to the end , it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio:

c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0

Or you can use the following free SDL App FreshStart-

https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/sdl-freshstart/876/
