Segmentation is defined in the TM, and for each rule (full stop rule in this case) you can simply define exclusions. You just say "If it's followed by a closing bracket, don't break."

BTW. I found Ratel, which is part of the Okapi toolkit, really useful for experimenting with segmentation rules.

Unfortunately, adding simply a closing bracket to "After break" caused a serious problem "Failed to create setting page". By the way, this error is described here: https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0036221

Even if I enter the correct expression for closing bracket ("\)" in "After break", Trados still splits the segment after "XI.8.)".

Are you sure it's not a new paragraph or other structural element?

It is a simple sentence:

"Az építésügyi és építésfelügyeleti hatósági eljárásokról és ellenőrzésekről, valamint az építésügyi hatósági szolgáltatásról szóló 312/2012. (XI.8.) Kormányrendelet 17. § és az 1. számú melléklet alapján megállapítást nyert, hogy a tervezett építési tevékenység az építésügyi hatóság engedélye alapján végezhető."

I've tried a lot of settings (exclusions) but I Trados always creates a new segment after "(XI.8.)" or "(XI. 8.)".

As mentioned above, Ratel is a good tool for tinkering around with segmentation. You can turn individual rules on and off and see the effects immediately:

(You obviously don't have the abbreviations etc. stored in the Studio TM)

Do you have any idea, based on Ratel, about what I should set in Studio to stop it from segmenting after "(XI.8.)" (or similar expressions)?
