I think we need a little more information to be able to figure what is causing the issue.
How big is your TM?
Where is the TM stored?
Have you added Studio/MultiTerm to your AV provider 'whitelist'
First of all I would suggest you make sure everything is completely up to date-
(Parts 1 and 2)
And then please check the following two articles-

Has this helped?

i would say SDL does not care to improve the speed of response.
Hello Tatiana Popova ,
Im hoping you can help me here, as i'm a little confused about your reply.
We (at SDL) try to respond to community posts as soon as we possibly can.
In this case, the original question was answered within a couple of hours of coming into the office/original posting.
Although solutions were suggested, we don't know if these were successful unless the original poster confirms the problem has been resolved.
Also, its very helpful to 'tag' the person you are responding to, which ensures they are notified by email, otherwise responses can quite often be missed.

I think Tatiana Popova was referring to the speed of the response from the Translation Memory ;-)
i would say SDL does not care to improve the speed of response.
Of course this is a rather silly thing to say. Of course we care to improve the software... what could we possibly gain from not doing so?

I don't think you have the right to tag my or any other comment as silly. what you can gain is pretty obvious. Which is do nothing and charge the existing customers for being loyal to SDL because the customers have already made huge investments in SDL's software and have to stick to it.
and yes, i was referring to the extremely slow speed of response
i have logged a lot of support tickets in this regard. There were various suggestions from SDL, none of them helped. So far the situation has not improved.
So what do we have to gain from this? Why would you stick to the software if we never improve it? I think I have the right to voice my opinion as much as you have. If you make a comment like that, without any rationale at all, I think it deserves a response.
If I truly believed a company I purchased software from never fixed anything or improved it I would look for something else. I'm not forced to use anything. It's only computer software and this is easily replaced.

You've voiced your opinion. Your bad.
You might want to check the tickets logged by Tra-Service on my behalf and address the issues raised there if you are really responsible for Customer Service. I do truly believe that's your job
Give me the ticket numbers Tatiana Popova and I'll be only to happy to take a look. Your name may not be on the tickets so the numbers would help. It's not actually my job but I will take a look.

Here you are, Paul.

And from your position title, it does look like you are in charge of customer service. Customers or any other people do not expect to be called silly, don't you think? Your assessment of my comment was neither asked for or welcome. Please refrain from using this language in the future.

ok.. fair enough.
But as a general rule I don't subscribe to the customer is always right mode of behaviour and make no apologies for this. This is a community where we are trying our best to be as helpful as possible, often working far longer than we need to in order to try and help our users work through any problems they have, and we would hope that our customers would try and explain things without the need for throwaway comments that add little value to the questions at hand.
I'll take a look at your case. Thank you.

Initial response from support is that your case relates to GroupShare and not Studio. I don't have the detail yet, still waiting for more information on that, but I don't think it's relevant in helping the OP with this question as the scenario is very different. Please feel free to raise a question on this in the GroupShare forum and we can discuss it further.
Once Lee Rease provides more information as Steve requested we can try and help more.

From where i come from, it's part of Studio and GroupShare is just a vehicle to help us run the Studio. But I will raise this issue in the GroupShare forum
Thank you... the difference is your problem is more likely to be related to server connectivity and where the resources sit, which is GroupShare. That's why we have a separate forum. In this thread the resources are on the local drive... until the OP tells us otherwise.

In the meantime I have heard back from support, so just in case you don't post into the GroupShare forum as I have not seen your post there, note that they have been waiting for a response from you (or Tra-Service) since the 13th August. Maybe something went missing in the correspondence so it may be worth you following up with this through the support channels as well.
