UPDATE:

I have uninstalled SDL Trados Studio as well as SDL Multiterm, then deleted all respective SDL items from the registry, installed everything again and it seems it works as before. :-)

I have updated to SR2 and are unable to reproduce the same issue (and i'm unable to see this reported elsewhere)

When you receive the file from your client- where are you saving this?

Try creating a new folder - something like C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Studio 2019\Projects\clientXYZ

Then open this file from Studio-(best practise) - you should then have the option of creating a project or Single File translation.

Is the problem resolved?

When I was looking for a solution I found several similar issues at various websites (including both SDL community and proz.com). Some of them were more than two years old but describing the same problem. 

However, everything has been resolved on my side, please see my update above.

Thanks for the update.- Glad it all works now.

I have the same problem, I uninstall  Studio reinstall it without the SR2 update and I did not have the problem.

Unfortunately you haven't told us what problem it is you are having.

The above user seems to have resolved the problem through anew installation and removing all traces of SDL.

Have you tried this?

As this is obviously a local issue (otherwise we have numerous issues in community and reported to our support team- which isnt the case) it would be good to know what operating system you are using and whether this is actually on the latest stand-

Hi, my problem is that I can not the return package from my translator by double-clicking on it since the upgrade to SR2. I unistall Studio and reinstall it without the upgrade and the double click worked, then I upgrade and it stop working. I am using windows 10 Pro.

When I go through the welcome page in Studio and click on open project package it works fine.

This is the recommended way to do this (open package from Studio) rather than try to open Studio by clicking on the package.

I think you should upgrade to SR2 and then create a project/package and see if the behaviour you describe still hapopens.

Maybe (this is only an educated guess) that when the packages are created in SR1- the upgrade somehow corrupts the path.

But as you can open via Studio correctly it's hard to pinpoint exactly where the error may lie.
