I appreciate that there are various ways to do this depending upon the purpose. If you want to "merge" files for translation/editing in the editor view but still return them separately to the client is the best way to amalgamate the files as a single project by adding them at the "Add Files" stage of project creation and then after the project creation highlighting all files you want see as one document in the Files view by clicking "Open For Translation"?
