I think the first thing I'd do is make sure that the original source file did not have this problem for you with the version of Office you are using to open the file.  If it opens ok then the next thing would be to try making sure all the tags have been placed correctly ini the target translation before you save target.  You do this by pressing F8 when the file is open in the Studio editor.

If that also fails to help then try processing the source file again but this time use a different PPTX filetype.  There are two available to you and it's worth using the other one by forcing Studio to use this when you prepare your project.  This article might help:
