Retrofit is best suited to help with small changes in the target file, for example fixed typos in the final document.
For more extensive modifications aligning the source and the final target document with the changes accepted would be more effective.

As for the segments updated with the wrong content, this is not something I have encountered before. If it's possible, could you send me the Studio project and the reviewed target file, so I can test it to see if I can reproduce the issue?

Thank you for your suggestions! I did consider the alignment approach. However because the documents that i am working on are quite large, usually 9K words. So alignment may not very efficient? Do you have other advice on updating reviewed target files?

Even if the files are that long I would still suggest giving the alignment a try, since if the formatting and segmentation of the documents are similar, the auto-alignment should be quite good with nothing much left to correct. I have tried it myself with annual reports (300+ pages) recently.
Especially with the improved alignment tool of Studio 2019 SR1 - do you have this service pack installed?

Apart from this method, if you already have the reviewed target file, the manual update would be left as a solution. 

May I ask why you have reviewed target files in the first place? Is it because the reviewer does not have Studio maybe?
