Hi, I'm new and trying to set up Trados for some Tibetan translation projects. Since Trados isn't recognizing Tibetan punctuation, it is putting the entire text into single segments. Is there a way to define how the editor segments the text when I upload a .docx to a new project? I do see the "Segmentation Rules" as an option for creating TMs, but it doesn't seem to effect the segmentation in the main editor when I add the shad mark " ། " a common Tibetan punctuation mark for example.
Actually the ideal would be if I could just segment the text in the editor according to tab returns (U+0009). Then I could just prep the document beforehand with regex search are replace to where I want it and upload it from there. Does anyone else encounter this problem say with other Asian languages? I've been looking through tutorials all day, but I can't seem to find the solution.
Thank you,
