When importing IDML file, the whole content appears repeated several times

Hello! 
 
 I have to translate an InDesign file which I have exported to IDML in order to import it into Trados. I have worked with this type of file before with no problem, but this time, when I opened the text in Trados, the content (it's a book) was repeated 5 times, so the file has become huge and difficult to handle. 
 
 Does anyone know what could be the reason for this?

 Is it possible that there are many versions of this text in the indd (and the idml) file? In InDesign, you can move an item (like a text frame) off the pasteboard. I have often seen idml files with odd text which the author of the InDesign file was not aware of because it was in a hidden layer, off the pasteboard, behind an image or whatever. 
 That's my guess.
