It sounds as though you have a Translation Memory in the opposite direction of what you need.  The easiest way to handle this is to add your Translationmeory to your project using AnyTM instead of File-Based.  This can use your TM in both directions.

I begin by "translate single document" and then as I wrote there are no options available so where do I find any TM?

I can reach this screen only after I invert the languages so I guess after I invert and do as you say, I will no more have this problem?

I send here the screen BEFORE  I invert and you will see that this no possibility to choose any language at this stage.

Another question... what is the source file?  Perhaps it's an XLIFF or an SDLXLIFF with no target language in it.  That would not allow you to change the source because it is is French (defined by the file itself), and would have the target as optional because it had not been set.

1st question: When I click I invert the languages and then I have the possibility to choose the languages only, as it's inverted , these are not the source and target I need so I invert again and this is when I can finally have the right source and target and choose the TM Ineed.

2nd question : I always work with word files and I used to be fine until suddenly it stopped and I had to reverse twice until I could choose the TM i need.

I just removed the app and downloaded it again but it didn't help.

What app cynthia levy?  You didn't mention any app until now and neither did we.  Perhaps you can drop me an email and we can look at this in Skype because I'm sure we are at cross purposes for something that is very simple.  pfilkin@sdl.com
