I get the same thing but I learned to ignore it! It only happens in spellchecking as you type and these 'wrong' words are not picked up using F7 spellcheck. As you say, it goes away as you move on through subsequent segments. I thought it was related to Studio taking time to automatically recognise text language when overtyping the source inserted in target.

We have often considered withdrawing the MSWord app as this produces a very mixed bag of results - but some users do like the application.

Maybe its woth giving the following app a try-

This does take a little more time in setting up properly, but I think produces far better results in most cases.

Are you referring to the MSWord spell checker or the MS Word Grammar check app when you speak about withdrawing it and mixed results?

I was referring to the MS WordGrammar Checker and mixed results- works for some- but not for others.

The other app - Language Tool-seems to be far more reliable in terms of Grammar and  Spell checking.

AFAIK there wont be further development in this direction because MS do not provide the necessary API's which would allow us to properly benefit from this application.

I just want to clarify that my original post is not about an app, but about Studio's built-in option to use the MS Word spell-checker (please see attached screendump) - I am not sure if this is the same thing you are referring to? The suggested app Language Tool unfortunately does not support the one target language I work with, Danish, so that is not an option. In addition, the advantage with the Word spell-checker is that you get the benefit from the words which you have manually marked as correct (added to the user dictionary) when using the spell-checker in Word over the years. So for several reasons it would be fantastic if the functionality of the MS Word spell checker could be improved in Studio.

Also, just to clarify an apparent misunderstanding in Simon Cole's post above, these erroneous red lines do not disappear on their own (except if I close and later re-open the document). I have to save the segment, delete the segment and have it re-load from the TM in order to clear the red lines.
