Error 'Sequence contains no elements' when opening file for translation

I get the error message 'Sequence contains no elements' when trying to open a file for translation (actually, I get it in Dutch, 'Reeks bevat geen elementen'). The file doesn't open.

I already translated about 40% of this file (37,000 words) and losing my work would me make very sad (to say the least).

I am using SDL Trados Studio 2019.

    Hi Steven, thanks for replying. Before I posted my question, I read the related problems and tried the solution you are referring to. Unfortunately, it didn't work.

    It is the second time I have this problem. Last time (smaller project) I worked around it by deleting the project in progress, but saving the TM. Then I re-downloaded the project (from translation agency's server), opened it from scratch and populated the segments I had translated before one by one with the TM results. This time the project is much bigger, and moreover I would like to have a structural solution to prevent the problem from happening again.
