Translation memory protection

Question

Hi! 
 When sending a memory to a translator for a project, is there any way to prevent the translator from keeping that memory? I want to make sure that once the work is finished, the translator cannot longer see or use the translation memory. Something similar to the expiration period that can be applied to termbases.

There is no way to make sure that the translator will not save the segments that he translate is his own translation memory. The old translation units cannot be saved in the translator TM, but the ones from the current work, yes --> the translator can add his own TM to the project and use the update function and in that way he will save the segments in his TM. 
 
What you can do is to create a Project TM and send them only relevant Translation Units from your TM and in that case they will keep only a few Translation units. 
 
Other possibility is to have a contract with the translator and specify that it is not allowed to save the TUs in the own TMs or just simply advise them that you don't want they to save the TUs in their TMs and have their word and trust them :).
