Just sharing this - maybe Paul Filkin would like to get it into the SDL KB?

I tried to align two XML documents but because of wrong parser settings no segments were extracted from either and I got a "Sequence contains no matching element" error.

Studio seemed to keep functioning normally but when I tried to exit, I got the error message "Cannot set the active view to a view that is disabled or not available" and Studio would not let me exit. I did not force quit because I was afraid of repercussions.

The solution was to get back to the aligner, align two simple files like two plain text files containing one word each. That would get me into the alignment view, where I could see both the plain text alignment as well as my empty xml alignment. After closing both alignments, everything is back to normal and Studio quits without complaining.

I would call this a bug. A failed alignment should not leave such traces, but there is a simple workaround for now.
