Failed to update the translation unit in the TM

Question

Hi, 
 I am unable to update some of our databases in SDL Trados Studio 2015. I can look into the databases in question and retrieve previous translations, and I can save language pairs in the current document I am working in, but afterwards I cannot find them again. My colleague and I have the same file access on the file server where the translation memories are stored, but my colleague has no problems updating the databases. 
 I get the following error message: 
 "Failed to update the translation unit (an unexpected error occurred)" 
 Does anyone here have a solution to this problem?

As it sounds like you are working for a corporation and using Studio Professional and maybe even GroupShare? and, that the issue is not global- ie you experience problems but your colleague doesn't this might suggest your access rights are not up to date. 
Can you ask your project manager to check the settings/provide new log in details maybe?
