I have SDL Trados 2019 and can't open a document after saving as target. I was given a pdf document to translate, and I tried to see if I could open the incompletely translated target document. Can anyone help me please?

I tried that and it didn't work out. Can I send you the xliff file so that you can save it as target and then open that Word file?
