Term Recognition

Question

Hello, 
 I just started using Studio Freelance 2019. A client has sent me a package with a termbase and I seemed to be able to open it without any problems. I then had to enter my login details to access the termbase. The problem I'm having is that Term Recognition takes a very long time to find any results whenever I move to a new segment. For 30 seconds or more it says 'searching for terms' before finally finding them. Does anyone know why it might be so slow?

Please advise if you have downloaded a package (PPX) locally or are you working in real time with a client using Group Share?

Please ask your client which version of Server they use and which version of Studio is required. If these are compatible, then something is preventing the communication like the Antivirus (please make sure that the AV doesn't block Studio or Multiterm)

My suggestion is to turn on the LookAhead function and see if the help you: 
File --> Options --> Editor --> Automation --> Enable LookAhead
