My Studio 2019 after SP1 (go figure…) tends to deactivate basic shortcuts such as ctrl+a, ctrl+z or ctrl+h mid-project, without any obvious reason. It just happens like that. I haven't spotted a pattern so far. Resetting Studio does help, albeit it's NOT a solution, obviously.
Any ideas, other than reinstalling Studio, buying a new PC or committing a suicide and hoping for being born in a world with more install-worthy SPs?
SR2 is now on board - problem still unresolved.
just a thought... have you tried using a different keyboard? My laptop keyboard is faulty so I use an external keyboard and it solved a lot of issues...

The problem can be remedied at any time by switching between documents within Editor / re-opening the document / restarting Trados / killing myself and hoping for an afterlife with better software, so... yeah, so much for troubleshooting.
This is incredible... I'm sititng here, working at 6:30 in the morning on an important project, and still feeling compelled to post here again as the software's gone completely nuts after the latest "update". I saw release notes mention something about copy-paste problems, so I figured the code has been tweaked. If so, then it's only gotten worse, as my Studio now behaves in an absolutely retarded way, getting confused as to which action exactly it should redo when hitting Ctrl+Z (it's certainly not the last one that it redoes). The situtation now is that the shortcut either doesn't work at all, works erroneously, or works fine after doing a full reset of Studio (not just switching tabs, as before the update) and then malfunctions after 5 minutes.
It's getting nearly impossible to work with this thing productively. Major disappointment. I like the new smart pasting feature (apart from the name) from the recent release, but things like that kill any possible satisfaction you may draw from working with the product.
Now, my question to the staff here again (I have not received an answer to the same question several months ago on another critical occasion of this sort) is: CAN I REVERT to a previous Studio version, or not?

Yes, and if you contact support as we have suggested on more than one occasion they can help you with this.
Or, search this community where you'll find Evzen has posted on this at least once. It's not a publicly shared thing as support usually do this but you can do it yourself and the ftp is always provided in the KB articles accompanying every update:

Of course if you keep the previous installers, which might be a good idea now e release full installers instead of a patch, the you can uninstall the latest and roll back whenever you like. Make sure you also roll back MultiTerm so you have compatible versions.
Or, just contact support and they will do this for you.

Am I even entitled to "support" without having signed a support contract? SDL doing anything for me and without me (including fixing its bugs on its own incentive) without asking for more money sounds like a dream come true.
I have no idea how many times many people have clarified that for installation issues, and this surely is an installation issue, everyone is entitled to support... many times!
The rest of your comment is claptrap and just one reason why you don't get the best results from your engagement in here. We are all about providing good customer service and maintaining and resourcing this forum is just one example, the live chat is another, the 24/hr licensing support another etc. But we are only representatives of SDL as a whole and not personally responsible for every single thing that goes wrong with your work when using the product. Whilst I understand how frustrating it is when you can't work because some software doesn't behave the way you wish, it's not acceptable to keep posting in the way you do as the people here are only trying to help you and everyone has their limits.

Just for the record: I am sorry for assuming that the ctrl+z problem was due to Studio. It turns out the AHK script for find&replace I use is to blame. All is fine after disabling it. I'm still not sure whether it is Studio or AHK that is in fact to blame for this, but let's just call it software interference without SDL's obvious fault.
To be clear: this applies only to ctrl+z, not the ctrl+a and ctrl+h problems that were the original subject of this thread and also experienced by another user(s). Those issues have been resolved with some recent updates though.

Update: turned out not to be AHK related after all. This is really strange. The problem with malfunctioning Ctrl+Z just came up like that mid-work and was fixed after reopening the Editor window.
To add to the developers' headache a bit: this problem is now present on a different PC with an absolutely fresh Windows install, though still MS Surface Pro 2017 with the factory Windows 10 image (I had my Surface swapped by MS).
At this point I don't even have AHK or anything of the sort installed.
Please report this as a definite bug.

If the problem really gets to me (at this point it has only occured once in 2 weeks), I maybe will consider wasti... I mean, spending even more time on reporting this formally.

I'm only a 'volunteer helper' here anyway 
but I do enjoy it and miss it when my work or other facets of my life get too busy to participate.
Reporting this might be to your advantage because an SDL expert could link to your PC via the internet and take a look with you at what is happening.
