SDL Studio 2017 terribly slow after update

Question

After the recent update (Professional, SR1 build 44620), I have had serious performance issues with Trados (and Multiterm with it). Also problems with applying TM etc. 
 This is quite stressful, as I have a heavy workload. 
 Is there a way to revert to the perfectly-working earlier version?

 If disabling the feature(s) has not helped- then please take a look at this trouble shooting Wiki article which runs through the most common reasons why there is unexpected behaviour in Studio-

 Should these solutions not help- 
 please log a free licensing and installation ticket so this can be investigated further as most users appear to have run the update without problem

If you are having a problem with SR1 after updating it then I suggest you log a support case and the support team will be able to help you fix it, or revert you to the previous version.

You have two options: 
 
1. Submit a case using a webform 
2. Use live chat to get a licence reset 
 
You want to use the first option and make sure that you refer to this thread so the teams can see what you have tried already.

[SOLVED][At least partially] SDL Studio 2017 terribly slow after update 
 The problem was at least partially related to MultiTerm, upgrading it helped a lot. Also, I acquired the earlier build from SDL for the case, but haven't actually downgraded yet. It's possible I won't even downgrade, as the most critical problems have been solved now. See Steven's post for instructions. 
 (As this issue was around holidays, I forgot to confirm the solution.)

I will prefer reverting, as investigating / beta testing this build is really difficult as it's in many ways funny. Thank you for the instructions, I'll ask them to provide me with an earlier build.
