Problems reported after selecting source text created with Analyze/Export frequent segments

Hi!

I'd like to report a problem with selecting source text in a file consisting of frequent segments isolated from c. 10 files with the Analyze/Export frequent segments function. When I try to select the source text, various messages pop up, such as "Authentication failed" and "An item with the same key has already been added".

The Information window shows the message: "This file was created without using a file type definition. The following functionality will be restricted or unavailable: saving, verification, QuickTags, preview."

I use SDL Trados 2019 Freelance SR1 -15.1.0.44109 and Windows 10.

Thank you for information/feedback.

UPDATE: When I turned off an SDL Cloud termbase, the problem was partly resolved: the pop-up messages disappeared, but the Information message remains.

  • Hi

Were you provided with an SDLXLIFF to work on or is this a project you created yourself from an original source file (not an SDLXLIFF)? If the former then this message is to be expected if the SDLXLIFF was created using a custom filetype, and it's only information... it won't cause you a problem other than you won't have access to the things it mentions. The reason is that a custom filetype, without the appropriate settings being made available as part of the filetype creation, won't give Studio the information it needs to be able to handle the filetype with all available features. You can still translate it and send it back, but you probably won't be able to save target, use quick inserts, have a preview etc.
