GS Part 1 SDL Trados Studio 2017 Fragment Alignment not working

 Can anyone advise how to resolve the following error message? I've followed the instructions in GS Part SDL Trados Studio 2017 and this comes up when I get to Fragment Alignment on page 9-6. Thanks!

Hello Diahnn Theophilus 
 I think simply some of your setttings have become corrupted- 
 Please navigate to the following folder- 
 c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0 
 and rename (just add _old) and then restart Studio.

Thank you very much for your speedy response to this question, I really appreciate it! In the end I think there was a mixture of problems. I did as you suggested and found that it then worked with a few TMs that had been troublesome, however one of the TMs still provided the same error message. I'm presuming that the last TM had been corrupted so I'm ignoring it. I was able to complete the rest of the steps and finish reviewing Getting Started part 1. Thanks for your help!
