Updating source text in Project Package

I have set up a project in 12 languages and sent the project packages out for translation. The translators have begun working. The client has now sent some amended text. How can I update the source text in the project package without the translators losing the work they have already completed?

  • Hello ,

Unfortunately there is no simple way that you can do this
-assuming you are talking about PPX packages and not working online with GroupShare and the freelancers are working with Freelance versions.

The only way you can achieve what you need as far as I'm aware is as follows-

    1) you have created the PPX's (with file A) and sent these out to the individual translators-
    2) the translators have translated the original files to ?x?% which must have been saved to the memory
    3) you create another package (with the updated file B) and send this to the translators
    4) who will pre-translate file B with the translation memory created from file A and then continue as normal with the translation
    5) you request only file B to be returned (file A can be discarded).

    Hope this helps.
