The Translation Results window shows old versions of segments that have already been successfully updated in the Translation Memory

Dear All,

I have been a Trados Studio user for 7 years and never had this problem in older versions. It worries me terribly because it threatens the accuracy of my translations! I think it appeared in the latest versions of the program (I now run Trados Studio 2019 15.0.1.36320). Recently I tried updating Trados, but the problem has persisted. Now I'm considering downgrading to Trados 2017 but I'm not sure if this will help...

Here is the problem:

I translate a new segment from scratch (let’s call it segment ”A”). The segment is saved correctly to the Translation Memory, and instantly shows in the Translation Results window.

Then, I go to segment “A” again because I want to change it, and the change seems to be reflected in the Translation Memory okay (the Translation Results window instantly shows the updated version of the segment, and all is good).

Some time later, when I work on a new empty segment (let's call it segment “B”) and try to fill it in based on segment “A”, the Translation Results window gives me THE OLD (NOT UPDATED) VERSION of segment “A”.

I'm completely sure I'm doing everything right, because then I usually go back to check segment “A”, I highlight it, and the NEW UPDATED VERSION of segment “A” is displayed in the Translation Results window. Then, I go to segment “B”, and the Translation Results window gives me the old version of segment “A”.

This has happened to me many times now and it concerns me greatly.

Of course all the checkboxes are checked for this translation memory in the Project Settings (enabled, lookup, concordance, update).

Any ideas on what I should do?
