No spell checker available

Question

Hi everyone, 
 I'm using Studio 2017 SR1 with Windows 10 Pro. All of a sudden, my spell checking stopped working so I opened the Options to check my settings. 
 It seems that the drop-down menu where you select the Active Spell Checker is empty. Studio does not see the MS Office spell checker, nor the built-in Hunspell so I cannot select anything. I have not made any changes to my computer. I suspect that maybe an Office update had an effect on the MS spell checker but it doesn't explain why Studio will not see Hunspell either. 
 Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hi Menelaos Stamatelos 
 I suggest you run a Windows Repair of Studio, via Control Panel. Here's how: 
 Close all SDL applications. 
 Open the Control Panel : Right-click on Start > Control Panel > Select View by: Small Icons > Programs and Features. (you can also just type 'Control Panel' into the 'Type here to search' window by your Windows button, bottom right) 
 Click/highlight ' SDL Trados Studio 2017 SR1 ' in the list of programs then click ' Repair ' in the top toolbar (you could instead use the right-click menu). 
 Restart Studio . 
 Now and then, particularly if there's been a particularly big Windows update, I repair MultiTerm then Studio. Just to smooth out any potential hiccups. This can be useful to do for any complex piece of software. 
 I hope this is enough to sort out your spellchecker. I prefer the Hunspell one but it's up to the individual.
