Trados Studio 2019 hangs on confirming segment, spawning two MS Word processes each time. What can I do to remedy this behaviour?

Hi, I am a novice Trados User, having worked for 8 years with MemoQ. 
 I have an issue with the new Trados Studio 2019: it hangs after confirming a segment. The mouse pointer wheel spins and I cannot edit the next segment for several seconds. 
 I opened Windows Task Manager to see which processes are consuming all this CPU time after confirming, and noticed that each time I confirm it segment, my pc spawns two MS Word background processes, that disappear after a few seconds. I'm quite sure they are the culprit, but don't know which Trados options to deactivate in order to remedy this behaviour? Deactivating the spell checker does not seem to change anything, using HTML preview instead of Word preview neither... 
 I would appreciate any help on this, because it really slows me down.

I have seen similar cases to this before and the culprit as often been the AntiVirus software. 
The first remedy should be to temporarily disable your AV (google your provider and how to...) then run a project and see if you notice a speed increase. You should now add Studio /MultiTerm to your AV 'whitelist' to prevent further issues. 
 
If you are still having issues, then it would be good to know where you are storing/accessing your TM's/TB's etc. either locally or in the cloud.

, Nicolas Severyns If you installed the Microsoft Grammar Checker plugin for Studio then try these things: 1. Reduce the reporting to short messages in the verification options 2. Disable the Grammar checker 3. Uninistall the Grammar Checker (it's problematic for a variety of reasons outside of our control anyway)
