MultiTerm DataBases suddenly show no results, cannot be removed or added

Question

I no longer can use my TermBases, they won't show in Studio, I cannot remove or add them, not in "options", "project settings". Error message: 
 
 If I try to open, add or remove them in the integrated TB window (which is open, but empty) the error message is: 
 
 The problem appeared suddenly, in new projects as well as in older ones. What's wrong here?

I think you should carry out a reset. You could use this app for the reset and this will also explain what you will lose by carrying out a reset before you do it: 
 
 appstore.sdl.com/.../ 
 
But if you'd rather do this manually then rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio (you didn't mention the version so I have based this on the Studio 2019 folders): 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0 
 
So the path would become this: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0_old 
 
If you can't find this folder then you need to unhide your hidden files/folders: 
 
 www.howtogeek.com/.../
