I am currently working with an installation of SDL Trados Studio 2019 in demo mode.
I have worked with Wordfast for many years and have many TMs which I would want to use in SDL.
So in Wordfast I have exported multiple of these TMs as TMX files, and I have attempted to import these TMXs into Trados Studio, as I am considering buying Studio and the use of past TMs from Wordfast is very important for me.

I have tried importing multiple of such TMX files of different sizes, ranging from 40 to 400 to 4000 and right up to 25,000 TUs, but the same problem occurs each time: I get the error message shown in

gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge

"Import failed. File could not be processed"

The strange thing about it though is that in each case the import is actually SUCCESSFUL, to an extent. What I mean by this is, in each case exactly 50 TUs are always successfully imported, no more, no less (except in the case where the TMX contains 40 TUs; here there is no error message and all TUs are imported).

Unfortunately too, in each case the "show error details" button which "articleName=000001103" mentions is in each case DISABLED. No idea why, but I cannot get any more detailed info on what the problem is.

Also, in the import wizard, after I start the import procedure the progress counter always seems to successfully count the TUs it is reading in right to the respective TU total, but only when it reaches the end does it give me the "import failed" message.

A note about the procedure I am following: In each case I create a new TM in Trados Studio, and then I right-click the new TM and select "import". From there the import wizard opens, and I select the respective TMX file.

I have tried getting support at an SDL chat, but after explaining everything I have explained here, they could not find a solution, and suggested I come here.

I have also investigated whether there are any bad tags in the TMX files, such as the "<br />" problem which "articleName=000001103" mentions, or empty segments, but I have found no such issues.
