Will the upLIFT function in TM affect wordcount analysis ?

Question

Hi, 
 Because importing new segments into an upgraded TM takes much more time than the old version TM, I need to turn off the upLIFT function to speed up the process. 
 I wonder if the same two TM, one turns on the upLIFT function, the other turns off the function, will that makes wordcount report different?? 
 TM upgrade in 2017 only adds upLIFT function, is that correct? 
 Is there any other way to speed up the new Tm updating speed? I have tried 2019 and it is very slow either. The TM upgrade problem really bothers me now.

For a normal word analysis it won't make any difference.

 If you go to Settings -> Fragment Alignment in the Translation Memories View you can see more information regarding the nedd to upgrade. If it's never been uplifted before it will say this:
