XML. files and Author-IT problems (SDL Studio 2019)

Hello, I'm writing because I'm having problems with XML. files and the Author-IT. First of all, I can't save any document as an XML. file because it doesn’t find the tag configuration file (INI) named Author-IT XML.But I have an INI Author-IT. Secondly, I can't open some xml. files that I have to translate because the argument “picture” must be an image that can be used as an Icon. I don't know what to do. Besides, the document is locked or protected and I cannot unlock it.As it doesn't work I alwasy close the document and another message appears saying "Reference to object instance is not established as an object". BTW, I have SDL Trados 2019. Can someone help me?

    I think there's a few things here to clarify.

    1. Studio 2019 has a built in filetype for Author-it XML so you should not need to use an ini file
    2. The ini file is an old Trados Workbench settings file which can be used to create a Studio settings file, but you should not need this
    3. I think the icon you are referring to is the old way of creating a custom Author-it filetype in Studio with the ini and a custom icon

    At least this is what it sounds like to me. But perhaps try typing Author into tell me and you'll get to the settings. Don't type Author-it because that won't find anything!

    So you should be able to just open an Author-it XML in Studio without the ini file and Studio should handle it. If you need to tweak the parser rules then do this in the Studio filetype rather than create a new one.
