Target Language change

Question

How can I add another target language If the files I receive have predetermined language options?. 
 In my case, I was required to translate from English into Spanish (latam), but the file only showed the option of International Spanish. I could neither change this option nor add another option. 
 I am using SDL Trados Studio 2015.

I think the proper way to handle this is to go back to your client and ask them the following: 
 
1. Can you provide an XLIFF with the language codes you wish the file to be translated into... or 
2. do you want me to translate this file with an International Spanish language code into Latin American Spanish? 
 
You could edit the XLIFF yourself to correct the language codes and then Studio would pick it up as you need, but I think you need to get clarification from your client what they actually want as they may have made a mistake in sending you this file.
