From my previous searches here, this issue seems to be an oldie, but a not-goody. I have tried quite a number of solutions from previous fora.

I'm using 2019 now, and still experiencing this problem after a recent upgrade from 2017 where I had the same issue. The upgrade seemed to solve the issue, but now it's back.

The client sends a docx and I am unable to set the target language (i.e. I do set it, but it won't let me leave the dialogue box after I do so) when either translating as a single document, or when creating a new project.

I get this error message: object reference not set to an instance of an object.

It also stops me from saving the target text in Word, or creating a return package if I do manage to translate and save the document.

It seems to completely randomly occur at different parts in the process, and will sometimes, when I've opened the document as a project the error message repeatedly pops up, until I force quit from the Task Manager.

Any advice would be very welcome.
