Hello SDL wizards, I am trying to help a colleague who is supposed to do revisions in Studio 2017 of HTML files. She would like to leave comments for the translators, and that these comments be available in the target text, when generated. Is this somehow possible?
No, it's not.
Out of curiosity, how exactly would you want the comments to "be available" in the HTML?! Can you elaborate on how this "be available" should look like?
You can of course export your file for bilingual review. This will give you a word file as you thought and it can contain any comments you have made in the sdlxliff. As Evzen explained, you can't put this into the HTML but I'd really be surprised if this is what they really wanted.
