This looks to be correct.  I think it would be helpful to have a sample file from you that behaves this way and then we might be able to help a bit better.  I attached the resources I used so you can see what I mean about a sample.  I don't need your entire TM and project.  Hopefully you can cause this in your existing project with a sample file you make up?

Thanks for your answer. I have sliced out the affected segment from the existing project and created a small sample file as well as a small TM containing 1 TU, so that you can see the behaviour in Studio. Please also see the result I see in my instance of Studio here:
