Getting the error "The document cannot be processed since it contains unexpected contents." with .idml file.

Hello,

we are currently starting a new project made up of several idml files. All of them are correctly uploaded to the Studio project but one, which returns the following error:

After browsing the community and the knowledge base, I also tried to remove the TM but I am getting the same error, even though with less detail as far as I can see.

Try preparing the problem file as a single file translation project; if it works then immediately test whether you can save the target file. Sometimes files can be processed this way even though they fail in the standard Studio project.

If that also fails the problem may be with this particular file and you should try opening it in InDesign and resaving the IDML.

You could also try checking the option in the filetype settings for IDML to handle unsupported filetypes... perhaps this one file is using something Studio isn't aware of.

Try preparing the problem file as a single file translation project; if it works then immediately test whether you can save the target file. Sometimes files can be processed this way even though they fail in the standard Studio project.

Hi Paul,

the single file project did not work either, and I made sure "Process unsupported filetypes" was checked as well.
And, we have already open the IDML in InDesign and resave it. We also copy-pasted the idml content into a new InDesign file but nothing helped. There must be some content that Studio does not recognize.

Could you have a look at the idml file if I send it to you?
