By 'Trados' do mean 'Trados TagEditor' or 'SDL Trados Studio 2009/2014'.

Either way, if you load all the documents when creating a single project, you can look under the 'Reports' View where you can select a report in the left-hand window on a function that has been performed on all the documents together, for example 'Analyse files' or 'Pre-translate files', to see a total wordcount for all the documents in the project together plus totals for each individual file listed below that.

You can also open several documents together so they appear one after the other as if they were one big document, by highlighting them all within the same project under 'Files' then selecting 'Open for Translation'. Then you will see the wordcount for all files together at the bottom right of the Editor screen.
