Recently purchased Studio 2019. Whenever I try to create a new project it tells me that the specified location folder already contains some files, and to specify an empty or non-existing folder instead. This happens every single time I create a new, empty folder. I can't figure out a way around this so I can't create my own projects.

I am also getting this same problem. Was there a way to resolve it in the end? Since upgrading to SDL 2019 I am also having other issues when creating projects. Twice now the wizard seems to have deleted all other existing projects, leaving the folder empty.

Could you please tell us the exact version of Studio you are using please-
This sounds like a bug that was in earlier versions of Studio 2019 but was fixed in later CU updates.
Simply updating to the latests version should help.

I maintain my own project tree where I have a folder for every client and under that a subfolder for each project. If you need more details, I will be happy to get back to you in a couple of days, as I am a bit jammed right now.
BTW, this started to happen only with Studio 2019.

I decided to uninstall, remove all default locations, uninstall plugins and other deadwood, such as old exchange apps no longer valid, then reinstall from scratch. This seems to have gotten things working. I now just restore backed up material on demand so I can detect if any item causes a problem. So far so good.
