Question

sdl trados 2017 gets blocked in my computer with windows 10 every other time I try to add a term to the terminology base the computer gets absolutely blocked so I hace to restart trados thus making my work extremely annoying and lengthy any suggestions on how to fix this aside from re-installing or repairing in the control panel?

 - I have tried almost everything: repair, reinstall, tb reordering, antivirus clearance, tb layout change, etc. But nothing works; my 4 year old computer uses around 40% on the process. Is it too old for trados 2017?

Perhaps try the following: 
 
1. Keep the left hand navigation pane open so it doesn't have to swing open in addition to your termbase 
2. Try pinning the termbase viewer open so it doesn't have to open at all 
 
Might help narrow down the cause of the problem. These rendering problems with termbases are sometimes a big problem for users. If that doesn't help then you might be affected by this problem and the only solution, until the problem is fixed, is to roll back to the previous update or upgrade to the 2019 version:

 Would you be able to post the full error stack please as this will reveal more information as to the cause.-

 The problem however would appear to relate to the server access and login permissions. 
 Also it would be useful to understand whether you are working as a freelancer or within a corporate network.

 Please attach the full error stack as this only shows part of the message- but which seems to suggest problems with the server proxy... 
 
 ...which is confusing if you say you are not working on a server.

 From this it looks like your MultiTerm installation has become corrupted.

 Then I think you should log a free licensing and installation ticket via your account and the support team can take a look at this for you.
