Languages that are not configured for this installation

Hi, 
 
 I get this error message: "The file cannot be opened as it contains languages that are not configured for this installation" 
 
 I tried to restart my Trados 2017 but it still doesn't work. 
 
 Any suggestions what to do next?

This would rather suggest that you are trying to open a file in a language that you did not add when you set up Studio (freelance) the first time. 
Unfortunately there is no way to change the languages in an active installation. 
Therefore you will need to run a 'repair' on Studio - 
which resets Studio to its default settings and allows you then to choose again your FIVE languages. 
To help you with the reset- 
Simply download and install the following app- 
 appstore.sdl.com/.../

Trados Studio > 1. Trados Studio
