Warning when trying to "Update from Bilingual Review"

Question

I sent a file to be reviewed in bilingual review format using the export feature. 
 The customer returned the file with their changes entered in the Target column, as requested (cf. the sample below): 
 
 I tried to update my source project file using the Update from Bilingual Review feature, but nothing gets imported and Studio issues a Warning at the end of the batch process: 
 
 Given that the file does contain plenty of "tracked changes", I am at a loss trying to understand what the problem might be. 
 Any help is greatly appreciated.

It can be very tricky if you are not 100% sure about the process used, and what versions of office were used. These files are very sensitive to "mishandling" in the context of the Studio workflow. If the only changes were textual I would not expect to see all the markup on the right, so this does suggest that some thing else has occurred here and whatever that is may be the cause of the problem. 
 
Have you managed to get the work in with a workaround?
