Why is a Term Recognition term (in lowercase) inserted by Match Repair as upppercase?

Probably because the only source it found that it felt confident enough to be a replacement in your match was uppercase. If you hadn't mentioned this I would have thought it might change the case to match the segment, but obviously not in your case. Can you provide files to help reproduce this and we can investigate it?
