is there any info available on wether Studio 2019 will be in sync with files coming from Microsoft Office 2019 suite, which is due this year too?
One of our possible clients listed that as a main requirement for them to order the upcoming Studio upgrade.

Yes, it is. This was confirmed for us this morning and we will update the documentation and filetypes text in a future release.
One benefit of Microsofts new policy is that Office 2019 isn't a big bang approach anymore and it's simply a marketing release to their continual improvements released by subscription.
