New PC installation

Question

I have a new PC, I have deactivated my license from the old PC, I have fully installed and activated SDL Studio 2017 in my new PC, but when I am dropping single files for translation it gives me an error that none of my TMs are found, and they are actually in my docs folder. 
 When I try to load a project, it happens the same, no termbases, glossaries, Tms are found. It seems that SDL cannot find the path where to extract my entire old work from my previous PC. 
 
 What can I do?

If they are exactly the same then when you copy the contents of your projects.xml in this folder then all your projects shold be avialable when Studio starts up, and this will include the TMs and TBs that were used in those projects. 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2017\Projects\projects.xml 
 
If they can't find the projects then you have not created the same paths in both computers and you will need to add the projects back one at a time.

If I understand you correctly, you have moved Studio from the old (defunct) PC to a newer machine. 
 
As Studio does not actually save anything within the program itself (Studio is just the working interface) and cannot automatically upload the data from your old machine, you will need to copy all of your resources/folders from the old machine and save these onto the new machine creating a new structure 
Then when you open Studio and start a new project, you simply 'point' Studio to the relevant resources.

As the machine is new and Studio is a new installation then yes this is correct. 
Studio cannot extract any information automatically, as it of course does not know where the information/resources are stored on the new machine as no 'paths' have been defined. 
 
Creating Project Templates can save you a lot of time and help ensure consistency- especially if you work mostly with the same clients/resources etc.

When you create project templates- these can be exported and reused on different machines and would need minimal updating based on where the resources are saved.

Just to add to this... if your new computer is set up with the same computer name and paths to all your folders then Studio will automatically pick them all up. But if your new computer is different then you need to tell Studio where they are... even with project templates.

To get your new projects working just add your TMs and TBs etc, to your default project template and then the drop files will work too. You can check this in File -> Setup -> Project Templates, or even File -> Options.
