Hi Paul,

I dragged the file, and selected Translate as single document, and selected the target language, and clicked ok, and clicked project setting, and changed the match value to 70, and clicked ok. But, it didn't have any translated text. What steps did I miss?

Could be a few steps depending on a few things. So I'm going to assume that you do realise that you are the one who has to translate the document. In this case there are three sets of steps you missed, and any one of them would do the job:

First set of steps
1. You now translate the document sentence by sentence

Second set of steps
1. You add a Translation Memory
2. You run the Pre-Translate Batch Task
3. That will populate the target with anything close to what you have translated before (70% close based on your settings)

Third set of steps
1. You add a Machine Translation Provider
2. You make sure you have checked "Use MT Provider when no match is found"
3. You run the Pre-Translate Batch Task
4. This will machine translate all the target segments for you to post-edit and correct

So I guess there are probably variants on these but you need to do one of them.

I think you need to at least do some background learning before asking for this kind of help.  I think anything we tell you in here is only going to lead to more questions.  I'm not against people asking questions in here as this is exactly what the community is for but I don't think this is the best use of anyone's time if you have not learned the basics first.

Can I suggest you start with the Quick Start Guides that are in the Welcome View in Studio?

The translating and reviewing guide would be a good place to start, and then ask any questions you have after reviewing that in here.
