Finnish characters turn into strange characters after conversion back to mif (FrameMaker)

Hi, 
 
 We translated a mif (FrameMaker) file to Finnish in Studio 2017. When we converted it back to a mif file and opened it, a great deal of the Finnish characters were changed into strange characters and symbols. 
 
 Do you know what the issue is and how we can fix it?

It sounds like a font issue. Try making sure that the font being used for this file is fully unicode compliant.
