My project uses a TM without the COLON segmentation rule usually set in any default TM.
When I use retrofit the resulting SDLXLIFF file is segmented using the COLON segmentation rule, so there are mismatches in my segments.
It looks like the retrofit process uses default segmentation rules, rather than those set in the TM used in the project.

That would definitely not be the best idea.
It should use the TM's source segmentation rules for source and target segmentation rules for target, just as the alignment does. All in all, retrofit IS actually an alignment...
Anything else would be just confusing and illogical.
