This settings button is only active if you are using "SDL LanguageCloud Terminology (Beta)". It is deactivated for File and Server based Termbases. 
 
What display settings do you wish to adapt as I don't think there are any in this option anyway... even for the normal termbase wizard options that you see when creating a new termbase.

Yes, the screenshot is in the Project Settings, but it's not the right part of the project settings. That settings button is only available for editing the settings of a Language Cloud Terminology termbase. So I merely suggested a route to get to the place in the project settings that Francesca was looking for. 
 
It's not a very clear interface at all so the confusion is understandable.

 I don't know how else to say this, but unless you are using the Language Cloud (Beta) that button will be greyed out. It doesn't matter if you have more termbases there. Those settings for not for "normal" termbases. 
 There are also no settings for case sensitivity on a termbase anyway. These are your only options: 
 
 You can set the case for use with AutoSuggest in here but you can't change any settings on the Termbase for case sensitive recognition:

Trados Studio > 1. Trados Studio
